5-Day Jordan Tour: Road to Petra

After breakfast, you will visit Roman Ruins such as Madaba where you see the famous 4th-century Byzantine mosaic map of Israel inside the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Then transfer to Mt.Nebo, the place where Moses had gazed at the Promised Land and is believed to be his burial ground.
You visit the old monastery, overlook the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and parts of the Holy Land.

After this we will drive towards the Dead Sea, Being the lowest point on earth and filled with a variety of minerals with medicinal properties the site has developed into a health spa like hotspot. The mineral concentration in the mud is used for therapeutic and beauty treatments. Queen Cleopatra and Sheba both were said to have known the value of the site and used it. Due to high salinity the water supports no form of life hence the name the Dead Sea and floating is very easy. Be sure to prepare to swim and relax in the mud.
After this, we will drive towards Amman and transfer you to your hotel.

After breakfast, you will be transferred north to Jerash, to continue your Amman to Petra unforgettable tour, situated in the foothills of the mountain of Gilead, the ancient city is reminiscent of the Roman Empire. Being one of the largest and most well preserved sites of Roman Architecture outside of Italy its grandeur can be seen in the colonnaded street, Oval Plaza the Nymphaeum, and the Temple of Artemis. Then move to Ajloun Castle. It was built by Izz Al-Din Usama, one of Salah Al Din's generals in 1184 AD. We continue towards Umm Qais, once known as Gadara, is a ruined Greco Roman city, where visitors have an amazing view over the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights, Back to your hotel in Amman to overnight.

After breakfast, we will have a tour to Petra from Amman, the biggest attraction in Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabateans, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundations of a commercial empire that extended up to Syria. Upon arrival, you will begin the trip on horseback to the canyon,known as the Siq, and then by foot to the most beautiful monument, the Treasury. Among other monuments you will see are the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs Petra, and Pharaoh’s Castle. This is one of the most memorable experiences among our trips to Jordan Petra, offering both historical insight and stunning scenery. After visiting Petra, we shall proceed back to the Amman Hotel for an overnight stay; the drive will be 2.5 hours long.

On the last of your jordan vacation packages after breakfast, you will check out at noon (12 pm), and depending on the time of your flight, we will transfer you to Amman’s Queen Alia Airport for your departure.
